Bring some nibbles or potluck to share! BYOB but SASSF will supply ice, soda and mulled wine.  Special raffle baskets will also be on hand - if you're lucky you can get a head start on holiday shopping. Bring your family, friends, coworkers....

Tickets will be available in the fall either online or at various local merchants.

So What's a Ceilidh?

ceildih (pronouced: kay-lee) is an informal Scottish party with dance, music, food & fun! Click here to check out an interactive video by VisitScotland showing some popular ceilidh dances.  We have great fun doing "Strip the Willow" down the long hall [shown on the right].

Our local Scottish Country Dance group meets on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm at the Sunrise Senior Center, 10750 W. Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise. New members are always welcome - no experience necessary! If you'd like to 'get a leg up' on the ceilidh, the class will specifically be reviewing/learning some popular Ceilidh dances at the 10/11 and 10/18 classes. Contact instructor Rinthy Aman for more information at: rinthy@gate.net
